The Train engine is a B1 NºB172, perhaps better known as a Gladstone, formally Littlehampton. It was the last in service and never received its new Southern number. The worst parts to make on the model were the brakes as they are independent clasp brakes on each wheel with a cylinder and pull rod each side of the wheel and are not mechanically linked. |
