Worthing's down starter, with West Worthing's distant
under, in April 1987. West Worthing's overbridge just shows in the distance
and, as can be seen in this photograph, is only about ¾ mile from the
main Worthing station.

| A closer view of the Worthing down starter and West Worthing
distant. The 'boxes were so close on this stretch of line that it
wasn't uncommon to see this arrangement, and indeed West Worthing's
distant is sited before Worthing Signalbox itself (by the level crossing)!
