Groombridge

Groombridge The modern style Groombridge Signalbox between Tunbridge Wells West and Eridge, photographed during February 1984, some fifteen years after it was taken out of use with the closure of the Ashurst spur. On 6th July 1985 the TWW to Eridge line was closed but today (2009) the preserved Spa Valley Railway is building a new Signalbox at Groombridge in the hope of using the station as a passing place on a re-opened line to Eridge.
The DEMU is en route from Tonbridge to Eridge.
