Drayton

Drayton Drayton Signalbox of 1876, between Barnham and Chichester, as photographed in May 1985. There was once a station here which closed in 1930, though the 'box remained to control the crossing and a small goods yard. Later in 1985 it was downgraded in status to that of an intermediate Crossing 'Box with the introduction of the Barnham to Chichester re-signalling. In 1986 the crossing was automated and the 'box decommissioned.
