Bexhill

Bexhill, previously Bexhill Central, Signalbox, photographed during March 1985. The cabin is by Saxby and Farmer and has rounded corners to all the glazing. The frame is also S & F and has 17levers - probably 18 levers originally, which was extended to about 23 levers and then reduced to what it is today. photograph by Mark Westcott

An almost identical view from 3rd August 2003, whilst it was closed. The near end has gained some shuttering and the signage has been updated, otherwise it is very similar to the above photograph. The 'box is manned Monday to Friday in two shifts of 7h 12m, closing out about 7.30pm (no nights) whilst Saturday is an overtime job photograph by Keith Harwood
