| Moulsecoomb station, on the LB&SCR line from
Brighton to Lewes, was not built by that company, nor indeed by the Southern
Railway, but was built by British Rail to serve the large Moulsecoomb estate
that was developing during the 1970s and 80s. The station, opened for traffic
on 12th May 1980, consists of just two platforms, some buildings and a footbridge
with no sidings nor signalling.
The photographs on these pages were all taken on 15th September 2004. |

The welcoming sign for Moulsecoomb station, one on each platform. The
modern style of the footbridge can be seen here. There are four schools in the
immediate vicinity of the north side of the line.
