2 Hap/2 Sap - Class 414

The side corridor of SR bullied 2 Hap NºS16035S of unit
5635 taken from a passing train at New Cross Gate Carriage sidings on the 30th
August 1981, by this time the unit was declassified as a Class 418/0 2 Sap
having been relegated to inner suburban duties on the Central division. Sadly
none of these magnificent units were preserved, the MBSO was refurbished and
reformed with ex-4 Sub trailers into a 4 EPB while the Driving Corridor
Composite was scrapped upon withdrawal.
